We’ve been busy working with Space Architects and the design team at Beamish Museum as part of the Remaking Beamish project, the biggest development in Beamish’s history.
This exciting project includes over 25 new exhibits and attractions and is bringing a new era to the museum in the form of a 1950s Town and 1950s farm.
Plans also involve transport developments, incorporating a trolleybus system as part of the £20 million project, including a substantial grant from The Heritage Capital Kickstart Fund.
Our focus and involvement in the project has been on the cinema, toy shop and electrical shop which form part of the 1950s town.
This has included extensive research using photographic archives of similar developments around the country.
The construction phase completes at the end of this month, and the interior fit-out follows with the attraction due to open later this summer.
